Welcome to The Lunchbox Boys
The home of local food created with passion
We're Sam and Dougal, two friends who grew up in Kingussie in the Scottish Highlands, and are proud to call the Cairngorms our home. The Lunchbox Boys is our business but it's also our passion.
We've built a reputation around sourcing local produce, turning it into great tasting, creatively presented food and delivering an outstanding dining experience.
Hello everyone, we hope you are all safe and well!
Well, what a year it has been...
When we first went into lockdown, we stayed positive and adapted well, providing fresh and locally sourced takeaway style meals throughout the Highlands and most importantly the elderly, who were in isolation during this tough time. In June, we moved in to our brand new HQ in Newtonmore which has been a fantastic step for us and has provided us with a perfect base to expand our services and team, all whilst maintaining our extremely high standards.
When lockdown lifted on 15th July, we were extremely busy with Private Catering and within the blink of an eye, we are in November! It has been a crazy few months, we have had the pleasure of catering for some fantastic groups and catering for small Weddings. Some of the highlights include partnering with the incredible Achnagairn Estate and Bogbain Farm, catering for the cast and crew from the hit Sky One show "League of their Own", meeting all our couples for private Wedding Tastings who have booked with us for 2021, adding to our excellent team of Chef's and front of house and much more!
We are extremely busy over the festive period with Private Catering bookings and COVID friendly weddings, we are also launching our Christmas Hampers which will provide great gifts for loved ones, the hampers also tie in to our mission of getting as many local businesses on board as possible and taking them on this journey with us.
We would like to thank you for your continued support, you can keep up to date with what we are up to on our social media @thelunchboxboys, our availability for 2021 is extremely limited and we cannot wait to provide more local food made with passion alongside excellent customer service next year!

Hello everyone, we hope you are well and most importantly, safe.
We are sure you are all aware of COVID19 and the current situation we find ourselves in. We would like to let you all know that we are following government guidelines and ensuring we maintain extremely strict hygiene practices, as we always do.
We have always put our clients first and try to be as flexible as we can, so all catering bookings can be rescheduled free of charge and we look forward to catering for you in the near future. If you have a booking with us, please contact our admin team and we will be sure to help you.
As you might imagine, we have had a lot of cancellations but we are happy to adapt and our experience from when we delivered our fresh and tasty lunchboxes allows us to pick things straight back up again and offer this service. We have been delivering wholesome and locally sourced dinners on Monday, Wednesday and Friday throughout the highlands. The feedback we have had has been fantastic, we are also offering free meals to over 65s who are self isolating, leaving the meals at their doorstep and trying to do our bit for the community.
As soon as COVID19 is over, we will be back in full swing and look forward to catering for you. We also have a very exciting announcement to make soon, so stay tuned!
Stay positive and safe everyone and we will see you soon.
